The studies below look at seaweeds and burdock as foods and botanicals. They did not test Seamoss+.
Seaweeds such as Irish moss and bladderwrack contain minerals, including iodine, and the amount varies with the species and where it grows. Irish moss is also a source of carrageenan, a fiber used in foods. Burdock root has a long history in traditional food and herbal practice. Piperine, the active compound in black pepper extract, is often added to formulas to support nutrient absorption. Because seaweed takes up what is in the water around it, outside testing for purity matters.
